My Top 10 K-POP collaboration songs

Noticing my classmates are doing Top 10 posts, I think I should do one as well. So today I decide to list my Top 10 K-POP collaboration songs.

  • Seoul Song – Super Junior and Girl’s Generation

This song is one of the most energetic songs I have ever listened to. Compared with today’s colorful K-POP market, 2009 and 2010 was more like a beginning of Korean Wave. Super Junior’s Sorry Sorry and Girl’s Generation’s Gee successfully popularized K-POP culture to the world. Two representative groups performed together to disseminate the beauty of the capital city of South Korea – Seoul.

  • Some – SoYou and JunggiGo

The song debuted at number 1 for two weeks on South Korea’s Gaon Singles Chart. The song was also number 1 on for six weeks on Korea K-Pop Hot 100. (Wikipedia)

Male and female collaboration songs are very common in Korea but this song has magic. The first time I listened to this song, I didn’t understand why this song was so popular in Korea but after listening to it for 5 or 6 times, I couldn’t stop… And I looped this song for more than 1 year.

Soyou, who is known as collaboration song specialist, also performs many other awesome songs like Lean On Me, You don’t know me and The Space Between.

  • Erase – Hyolyn and JooYoung

Not only Hyolyn and SoYou are doing a great job in being main vocals in Sistar, they are also good at collaborating with other artists.

Hyolyn’s charming voice is perfect for this song.

  • Born Hater – Epik High feat. Beenzino, Verbal Jint, B.I, Mino, Bobby

I rarely listened to rap songs but I strongly recommend this one because it gathered YG rappers.

Just like Taylor Swift sang: “Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play, And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, Baby, I’m just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake”, YG artists also show their attitudes towards the music through this song.

  • Tomorrow – Tablo and Taeyang

Tablo is the leader and producer of Epik High and he is also known as Haru’s dad. This song was released after he signed 4-year contract with YG entertainment. Big Bang’s Taeyang’s featuring is absolutely a highlight in the song. I am still listening to this song even though it was released 4 years ago.

  • I’m different – Lee Hi and Suhyun

If you don’t watch the MV, you will never know this song is sung by two girls under 20.

If you watch the MV, you will think how could this MV be so cute. The storyline is old style but these two YG young artists are so good at performing. I could not help laughing when I watched this MV.

  • We Fell in Love – Gain and Jokwon

I mentioned this song in my earlier post. This is a song full of Adam couple’s and their fans’ memories.

  • Delicious – Woohyun and Key

The song is a collaboration from two entertainment companies. Woohyun from Infinite and Key from SHINee are very good friends in private and since Woollim entertainment merged with SM entertainment, two friends created this unit.

  • Breath – S.M. THE BALLAD Vol.2

SM entertainment is known as its worldwide famous artists. This song has 3 different language versions: Korean version by Taeyeon from Girl’s Generation and Jonghyun from SHINee; Japanese version by Krystal from F(x) and Changmin from TVXQ; Chinese version by Liyin Zhang and Chen from EXO.

  • Ordinary Love – Park Kyung and Park Bo Ram

Park Kyung is from K-POP male group Block-B, which is full of talented members.

Zico is busy with rap competition Show me the money; Taeil is joining singing competition King of mask singer… all members except Park Kyung were having their own business.

Park Kyung is the main rapper in the group but it was not until 2015 that he finally had his solo.
